19+ Policy
Every player at Windsor Casino must be at least 19, and we make no exceptions. Below, you will read how age gets confirmed, how we respond if an underage person gets past us, and how parents can stop children and teens from reaching gambling sites on home devices.
Playing at 19 and over only
Neon nights are adults only. Windsor Casino lets nobody under 19 register, add funds or launch any title, and that covers free demo modes while logged in.
- One account per adult player.
- Accounts are personal and cannot be shared, lent or sold.
- Allowing anyone younger than 19 to access your account seriously breaches our General Terms.
- Offers, including the Windsor Rewards programme, are for verified adults only.
Opening an account is allowed if online gambling is permitted in your jurisdiction. In keeping with Canadian rules, we check how old you are, confirm who you are and screen for money laundering.
Acting when a minor is found
If we learn, or have solid reason to believe, that a player under 19 is behind an account, we act at once.
- The account is locked straight away and then closed.
- All bets placed and winnings earned are void.
- Where possible, any deposits will be returned to the payment method they came from.
- All marketing to that account stops.
- An adult who hands their account to a minor can see that account shut down too.
- When the law calls for it, details go to the proper authorities.
Worried that someone underage is playing on a Windsor Casino account? Send us an email. Every tip is kept confidential, and we look into it quickly.
Guarding shared devices
Family laptop. Shared tablet. A phone handed to a teenager for a quick game. Gambling sites should never be just a tap away.
- Log out once each session is over.
- Turn off the save-password feature in your browser.
- Secure every device using a PIN, a password, your fingerprint or face ID.
- Use a separate user profile for younger family members.
- Keep bank cards and e-wallet logins somewhere children cannot get to them.
- Clear stored logins if a device changes hands or is sold.
Our Cookie Notice explains what we store in your browser and how to clear it.
Using parental controls and filters
Simple settings at home can block gambling sites before a young person ever sees them.
- Device controls: the majority of phones, tablets and computers include parental settings for limiting apps, websites and purchases.
- Filtering software: specialized filter programs are able to block entire categories of websites, gambling among them.
- Router settings: many home routers can block sites for every device on the network.
- App store limits: require a password or adult approval for downloads and in-app spending.
Make gambling part of your conversations with young people as well. Tell them the odds are in the house's favour and that casino games are meant for adults. Speaking openly is among the most effective safeguards available.
Checking age before any deposit
No deposit goes through until age is confirmed. Here is how we do it:
- We request your birth date when you register, and no one under 19 can hold an account.
- We match your details against independent data sources.
- We confirm age and identity using a valid driver's licence, passport or photo card from your province.
- We check that payment methods are in the name of the verified adult.
- We repeat checks if anything on the account suggests a younger player.
Full details of the documents we accept are on our Verification and AML page. How we protect the information you send is covered in Your Privacy.
